A professional woman with short hair and a warm smile sits outdoors, wearing a deep purple blouse with ruffled detail. She is seated comfortably with her hands folded, and soft autumn foliage and trees appear blurred in the background, creating a warm, natural setting.

Co-Founder and Education and Training Manager

GH Disability Law Group

Jessica L. Hunt-Khouri is an attorney with more than 20 years of experience helping people with disabilities understand their rights and find practical solutions to problems related to employment, housing, and accessibility. She works with individuals who are facing barriers or discrimination and want clear information, support, and options for moving forward.

Throughout her career, Jessica has helped people resolve disability rights concerns informally, without going to court. In every role she has held, she has worked directly with individuals to listen to their experiences, explain the law in plain language, and help them communicate effectively with employers, housing providers, businesses, schools, airlines, and government agencies. She has assisted hundreds of people in resolving complaints through conversation, negotiation, and other problem-solving approaches focused on real-world results.

Through training and public education, Jessica provides technical assistance to thousands of individuals each year, answering questions about disability rights laws and helping people understand their options when they encounter barriers or discrimination. She also trains others in her field to ensure that information they provide is accurate, accessible, and respectful of clients’ lived experiences.

Previously, Jessica worked as the sole attorney advisor for the District of Columbia Office of Disability Rights, where she helped individuals resolve civil rights complaints related to access, housing, and services and worked with agencies to remove barriers and prevent future harm. She also served as an attorney advisor with the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education, where she provided guidance on disability-related issues affecting children and families, and as an Equal Employment Specialist with the U.S. Department of the Army, where she assisted employees with reasonable accommodation requests and discrimination concerns.

Jessica is known for empowering people to advocate for themselves. She regularly provides individuals with tools, resources, and guidance to help them make informed decisions, understand their choices, and determine the path that feels right for them. Her goal is not only to help resolve individual issues, but also to support self-determination and help people feel confident, informed, and supported throughout the process.

Jessica has experience with many disability rights laws that affect daily life, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and the Air Carrier Access Act. Her background in both law and education shapes a people-centered, accessible approach grounded in respect, clarity, and inclusion.
